Rod Lyman - Principal
Rod Lyman is a Principal with Good Harbor Consulting based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where he specializes in interagency coordination and integration, maritime security, and strategic program development. He has over 30 years of in-depth experience in leadership, management, and administration of military and security operations, analysis, and support. He has worked development issues both in the US military as well as in commercial venues.
Immediately prior to joining Good Harbor, he was a systems engineering and technical assistance (SETA) contractor at Scitor Corporation, Chantilly, Virginia. He specialized in the development and fielding of metrics-based performance contracts, management assistance, and re-engineering of processes as well as development and delivery of training in performance assessment, contract writing, and quality assurance.
Mr. Lyman's military career included multiple operational assignments, spanning a wide spectrum of active duty positions including direct support to the Commander in Chief (CinC), US Naval Forces, Europe/CinC, Southern Region Forces (NATO) on his personal staff and direct combat support to the multinational operating forces during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Previous assignments included duty with the submarine forces, Pacific fleet, with naval aviation, and several assignments in the Washington DC area.
Mr. Lyman earned a BS in chemistry from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio; a Master of Arts in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California; a second MA from the Naval War College; and a Master of Science in Management from Salve Regina University.
