Richard A. Clarke - Managing Partner

Richard A. Clarke is an internationally-recognized expert on security, including homeland security, national security, cyber security, and counterterrorism. He is currently an on-air consultant for ABC News and teaches at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

Mr. Clarke served the last three Presidents as a senior White House Advisor. Over the course of an unprecedented 11 consecutive years of White House service, he held the titles of:

- Special Assistant to the President for Global Affairs
- National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism
- Special Advisor to the President for Cyber Security

Prior to his White House years, Mr. Clarke served for 19 years in the Pentagon, the Intelligence Community, and State Department. During the Reagan Administration, he was Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Intelligence. During the Bush (41) Administration, he was Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs and coordinated diplomatic efforts to support the 1990-1991 Gulf War and the subsequent security arrangements.

Kiersten Todt Coon
 

Kiersten Todt Coon - Managing Partner

Kiersten Todt Coon oversees global operations and develops risk and crisis management solutions for infrastructure, crisis management, cyber security, and homeland security clients in both the public and private sectors. She has served in both the executive and legislative branches of government.

Prior to joining Good Harbor, Ms. Coon worked for Business Executives for National Security (BENS) and was responsible for BENS' work on integrating the private sector into emergency management capabilities and developed and executed port and cyber security projects. Before BENS, she was a consultant for Sandia National Laboratories and worked with the California Governor's Office and Bay Area Economic Forum to develop the homeland security preparedness plan for the Bay Area. While living in California, Ms. Coon was an adjunct lecturer at Stanford University.

Ms. Coon has served as a Professional Staff Member on the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs (now the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs); she worked for the Committee Chairman, Senator Joseph Lieberman, and was responsible for drafting the science and technology, infrastructure protection and emergency preparedness directorates of the legislation to create the Department of Homeland Security. She also served as Senator Lieberman's Appropriations Director.

Before working in the Senate, Ms. Coon served in Vice President Gore's domestic policy office and was responsible for coordinating federal resources with locally-defined needs, specifically focusing on the energy crisis in California and housing issues. She was also a senior policy analyst at the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and advised Director Barry R. McCaffrey on demand-reduction issues.

Ms. Coon graduated from Princeton University, with a degree in public policy from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. She holds a master's degree in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and was selected to be a Presidential Management Fellow in 1999. She earned the Outstanding Service Award at ONDCP and is currently a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

John S. Tritak - Managing Partner

John S. Tritak is the former director of the U.S. Government's Critical Infrastructure Assurance Office (CIAO), a federal interagency organization created by presidential directive in 1998 to coordinate the development and implementation of U.S. policy on securing the nation's critical infrastructures. His specific responsibilities included coordinating the development of the Administration's National Strategy for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Cyberspace Security; assisting Federal departments and agencies in identifying their key assets and critical infrastructure dependencies; and coordinating national awareness and outreach efforts to private industry and State and Local governments. Mr. Tritak was a member of the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board.

Before joining the CIAO, Mr. Tritak was an attorney with the law firm of Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard, McPherson and Hand, Chartered. As a member of the firm's federal practice group, Mr. Tritak provided advice and counsel on a wide range of legal, legislative and policy matters, including critical infrastructure protection, to domestic and international clients in the defense, telecommunications, and transportation industries.

Mr. Tritak previously served in numerous positions in the State Department's Bureau of Politico-Military Affairs, including Deputy Director for Defense Relations and Security Assistance, where he was responsible for coordinating U.S. efforts in security assistance and defense trade in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East; Deputy Director of the Bureau's Office of Policy Analysis, where he advised on matters relating to postwar Arabian Gulf security; Deputy Political Advisor to the commander-in-chief of U.S. Central Command in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during Operation Desert Shield; and State Department advisor to the U.S. delegation negotiating the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Tritak was also an analyst on national security and military matters at Pacific Sierra Research.

Mr. Tritak received a B.S. in political science from the State University of New York at Brockport and an M.A. in War Studies from the University of London, King's College. He earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
