Crisis Management
Natural disasters, terrorism, and regional or political instability are just a few of the crises international corporations must manage in today’s global business climate. Good Harbor helps clients develop proactive crisis management programs so they can protect physical and information assets and manage catastrophic events while minimizing their potential impact on the bottom line.
Good Harbor is run by experienced experts who have played major roles in managing crises for the U.S. government. Richard A. Clarke, Roger W. Cressey, John S. Tritak, and Paul Kurtz are cyber security and homeland security experts experienced in helping the U.S. federal government and its agencies respond to crises at home and overseas.
Clarke served the last three Presidents as a senior White House Advisor. Over the course of an unprecedented 11 consecutive years of White House service, he held the titles of Special Assistant to the President for Global Affairs, National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism, and Special Advisor to the President for Cyber Security. He is one of the world’s foremost experts in crisis management.
Cressey served as Chief of Staff to the President's Critical Infrastructure Protection Board at the White House and previously served as Director for Transnational Threats on the National Security Council staff, where he was responsible for coordination and implementation of U.S. counterterrorism policy. During this period, he managed the U.S. Government's response to the Millennium terror alert, the USS Cole attack, and the September 11th attacks.
Tritak is the former Director of the U.S. Government's Critical Infrastructure Assurance Office—an interagency organization created to coordinate the development and implementation of U.S. policy on securing the nation's critical infrastructures. Kurtz was Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Critical Infrastructure Protection on the White House’s Homeland Security Council (HSC), where he was responsible for both physical and cyber security.
Good Harbor draws on this proven expertise to help educate and train clients on the management structures they need to support business continuity in the event of a crisis. We develop policies and procedures for managing crises and high-quality simulations and exercises that prepare clients to respond to crisis situations. This approach provides clients with the tools they need to handle internal operations during a crisis and to systematically analyze the issues that will need to be managed in the event of a crisis.
