Senator Rockefeller writes to
Fortune 500 CEOs about cybersecurity
On Wednesday, September 19, Senator Rockefeller, chairman of the Commerce Committee, wrote to the CEOs of every Fortune 500 company, asking them about their cyber risks and cybersecurity risk management.
Sen. Rockefeller's letter comes on the heels of continued warnings about the escalating cyber threat, including cyber espionage attacks that steal or disrupt sensitive business information from the computer networks of American companies. General Keith Alexander, head of U.S. Cyber Command, has called cyber espionage "the greatest transfer of wealth" in history.
Sen. Rockefeller's letter to CEOs is the chairman's latest effort to raise awareness about the cyber threat to American companies.
