Position Openings

Good Harbor is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in risk management and safety and security master planning. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a related field, 5 or more years work experience including overseas experience, particularly in the Middle East (GCC), and be prepared to personally commit to living in Arabian Gulf. They will have experience in building critical relationships, in project management and have been exposed to safety and security issues at the policy level. Excellent analytical, written, and oral communications skills are required as well as the ability to work both independently with little guidance and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's degree preferred
  • 2-5 years related experience
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team oriented environment
  • Demonstrable interest in the field of safety and security
  • Demonstrable interest in urban planning and the design of safe communities

DESIRED SKILLS and INTERESTS

  • Advanced degree in a security / risk / emergency preparedness related field
  • Arabic language to a functional level
  • Budget management experience
  • Project management experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Manager for safety and security master planning projects.
  • Manage project deadlines and schedules and produce project plans.
  • Motivate and develop project team.
  • Communicate project information to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and brief progress.
  • Coordinate the communications, workflow, and work products of team members and subject matter experts, who may be located in different time zones.
  • Manage and coordinate activities for stakeholder workshops and project meetings, follow up with meeting minutes and other materials as required for team distribution.
  • Provide regular advice and counsel on safety and security at the urban planning and building levels
  • Draft white papers and memorandums on a range of safety and security considerations at the urban planning and building levels
  • Serve as liaison with other related Good Harbor projects
  • Prepare briefings for senior executives and other project team members
  • Assist with business development activities
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or appropriate
